Solemn Maiden is a reproduction of the original painting by Carolyn Fauteux. This open edition print features a kneeling figure symbolizing a spiritual focus. An underlying theme for many of Carolyn’s paintings, personal withdraw is on display, which she finds necessary in order to make space for deep thinking and the courage required for honest self-examination. Centered on a brick red background, the figure is cut into colorful shapes of navy, white, burnt orange and pale blue.
